Hey Guys! So Mitra sphere has entered the closed beta test and here is a look into the various aspects of the game.

MITRA SPHERE.
Mitra sphere is an Action Role Playing game (ARPG) which features a simple but fun style of playing. The game is expected to launch officially in Spring and will be a game that is looked forward to. Pre-registrations for the game are also open right now and it can be done on their official page.

STORYLINE.
Mitra Sphere is an adventure game that tells the story of abutting parcels Npakas Mahanatee, where the sky is covered by oceans. The protagonist had lost his parents at a very young age. He and his little sister could depend on no one but each other. However, they fell into water while fishing and found the larvae of the Dragon coincidentally.

In the game, players take on the role of the protagonist. Along with the development of character through an adventure that never ends.

GRAPHICS.

Simple but elegant. Mitrasphere has been rolled out as a two dimensional game with more focus given on the basic elements of the game than on the graphics. This does not however mean that the graphics and the game environment are bad. For some reason, the graphics seem to fit the game and makes it quite interesting.

Though the game is primarily 2D based it does bring in quite glamorous features. The details can be easily distinguished and visibly seen. This is evident from the gameplay when one engages in combat.

CONTROLS

To be honest, players will barely have to make any movements in this game. The only restricted movement that a player is offered is at main menu where he can interact with other players and NPC’s. The game offers a simple floatable joystick in order to this. One has to simply point the joystick in the direction in which they want their character to move.

While engaged in combat players will only have to select the attack that they wish to use and will not have any big movement roles involved.

TUTORIAL

Mitrasphere does not pay a lot of attention to tutorials as such and does not provide an in-depth tutorial on how to go bout the game. In fact, it has been pushed so far back into their important things that the tutorial is shown only after completing the first three quests!

First Impression of Mitra Sphere [Download File Attached]

Perhaps the disappointing part about the tutorial is that it does not give you a hands on one. All information is displayed in Japanese language with suitable images. It puts the task on the players to decipher the language and figure out what each thing means. The entire guide on playing the game and how to update characters etc. are only displayed in the above manner.

First Impression of Mitra Sphere [Download File Attached]

In addition to this, the game does provide tips before the combat begins.

CHARACTERS.

You play the role of the protagonist and move up the storyline in the game. This is why you have merely any options when it comes to characters. The only option that you get is to choose between a male character and a female one before the game starts.

First Impression of Mitra Sphere [Download File Attached]

However, in order to compensate for this, the developers have provided a plethora of character customization options in the game. Every minute detail of your character can be upgraded and can be distinctly seen while engaged in combat.

The various features that are allowed in the game related to character customization include changing the hair style, colour, complexion, eyes and it even allows you to add tattoos. The main menu of the game allows for you to even change the voice of your character and provides a load of options with regard to this.

PLAYING THE GAME.

As mentioned earlier, the players will have to play the game in a closed environment. Mitrasphere is a turn based game therefore players will have to wait their turn to make a move. The game is played by using a set of given combination attacks to defeat the opposing players in the arena.

The game sets off with a quite lengthy and time consuming ordeal. Players will have to carefully use their given attack and skill options in order to win the game. Each attack has a time period for reload once used. This is the most striking feature of the game which makes it extremely fun to play. A bar is placed towards the left of your attack box which will fill up every time the player’s casts a move. Once the bar has been completely filled up the player can use it to deliver a special and devastating blow to the opponent.

The players will have to level up by winning and collecting as many experience points as they can. Each win will give the players a set of rewards which can be used for upgrading their weapons etc. The game also features an Auto-play option which will come to the aid of players in case they find it too difficult.
It is quite important that players claim all their rewards as it will help them tremendously later in the game.

ONLINE GAMING.

The game allows you to add upto five players in the multiplayer gaming. This will be an interesting feature in the game as it involves proper strategizing to play it this way. The game also features a live chatroom function where any message typed will appear on the main screen itself which makes it quite continent. The players are given a set of servers from which they can select any one and enter.

SYSTEM REQUIRMENTS.

VERDICT
The game can given be a rating of 7/10.

BattleTech beta slated for March 15, and there’s room for you

BattleTech beta slated for March 15, and there’s room for you

The multi-million dollar Kickstarter for BattleTech will soon begin to bear fruit with a backers-only beta, currently scheduled for March 15. Pre-orders are available through a service called Backerkit, and will grant access to the beta at the $50 level.

That price is expected to rise by $10 on Feb. 15.

The team at Harebrained Schemes, which includes series co-creator Jordan Weisman, went the crowdfunding route in 2015 and raised more than $2.78 million for the turn-based strategy game. We had hands-on with it last year at Gen Con in Indianapolis, Indiana and the small slice that we played was rock solid.

Since then, the team has been hard at work fleshing out the campaign as well as the multiplayer component. In an update posted to Kickstarter just a few days ago, Harebrained said the upcoming beta would include a single-player skirmish mode as well as a one-on-one multiplayer mode.

“The Beta will include a subset of the ‘Mechs and Maps that will be found in the game at launch,” the team wrote. “Note that the Backer Beta will not include the story campaign or mercenary company management, nor will it include the ability to modify your `Mech loadouts. We hope to update the Beta later with the `Mech Lab feature but can’t commit to that at this time.”

The date is described as a target date, and should be expected to slip.

“While we’re on track for this date and looking good, this IS game development,” stated the update. “Please take the date with the expected grain of salt. Something may break as we head into this date and it may require us to take additional time to fix it to ensure a good experience for our participants.”

There’s no plans for a non-disclosure agreement, so expect to see lots of BattleTech content popping up in the usual places like YouTube and Twitch next month. The game has an expected release date in May of this year.

Fire Emblem Heroes Beginner's Guide, Starting The Game With 5 Star Heroes

Fire Emblem Heroes Beginner’s Guide, Starting The Game With 5 Star Heroes

Its only been 2 days since Nintendo and Intelligent Systems released Fire Emblem Heroes on iOS and Android, and while its success cannot be compared to that of Pokemon Go, it remains quite popular. The tactical RPG featuring heroes from various of the franchise’s representatives, such as Awakening, Fates, Conquest, and more, is indeed quite fun and challenging, with various modes, and more updates to come. This guide will help you get started in the game with a strong 5 stars hero (or more depending on your luck and effort).

Step 1 – Obtaining your first 20 Orbs

If Fire Emblem Heroes is a full-fledged Tactical RPG like the other episodes of the license, it borrows some of the mechanics of the mobile market, because let’s face it, the main goal of F2P games is to make money through micro-transactions. One of its mechanics is of course its system that randomly summons heroes from a large pool. It goes without saying that in addition to being random, each draw is not free and that is why we will explain how to optimize the first 5 heroes you summon as much as possible.

Fire Emblem Heroes Beginner's Guide, Starting The Game With 5 Star Heroes

First of all, you have to know that to summon a hero, you need to spend 5 Orbs. The Orbs are earned by playing through the story, by connecting regularly, participating in events, or by completing certain missions. And of course, orbs can also be bought with a swipe of your credit card. That being said, Orbs are pretty easy to get at the beginning of the game (but much harder later on) since when you finish the tutorial of Fire Emblem Heroes, you will have as much as 15 free Orbs on hand. It is strongly recommended, however, that you do not summon heroes immediately.

Fire Emblem Heroes offers players a sort of summoning discount when summoning 5 heroes in succession. The first summon costs 5 Orbs, the next 3 each cost 4 Orbs each, and the fifth and last one only costs 3 Orbs. In sum, with 20 Orbs, it is possible to summon 5 heroes. If you leave the summon menu, the initial price will revert to 5 Orbs again, and so on. So again, it is strongly recommended that you play until you have 20 Orbs before you start summoning.

Once these 20 Orbs in hand, you can finally get started.

Step 2 – Summoning and Rerolling

Basically, if you use up your 20 Orbs and aren’t satisfied with the heroes you got, simply delete all your data and start over. You will have to go through the tutorial again and earn the 20 orbs required, but at least you’ll have a second chance at obtaining rare 5 star heroes. And having finished the first 9 chapters of the game, I can already tell that after a while, it will get awfully hard to obtain Orbs. This is why you should not link the game to your Nintendo account before performing the first set of summons.

Fire Emblem Heroes Beginner's Guide, Starting The Game With 5 Star Heroes

Let’s also point out that while 5 stars is the maximum rank of heroes you can summon, it is also possible increase the number stars of heroes with a lower rarity, assuming you invest a lot of playing time. Clearly, it is better to get heroes with 5 stars, but having a hero that you like with only 4 or even 3 stars is nothing dramatic.

At the moment it is possible to summon heroes from two different Focus pools, Legendary Heroes and Deep Devotion (note that these will expire on February 15, 2017, which limits your chances of getting the rare heroes).

The Legendary Heroes pool has Marth, Lucina, Tiki and Robin as rare summons, while Deep Devotion boasts Lyn, Roy, Camilla and Takumi.

As a personal tip, I would suggest going with Legendary Heroes for your first set of summons and try to get Robin. Aside from being an extremely powerful mage with good defensive stats, Robin also has an ability that grants his attacks an advantage over colorless units.

Ubisoft has announced the swordfighting game For Honor will start Open Beta next week from February 9 to 12. The full game will be coming out on February 14th, 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.

The Open Beta features four modes: Elimination, Dominion, Brawl, and Duel. There are nine heroes in the Open Beta. The full game contains 12 heroes and five modes, so Open Beta players are getting to try a good chunk of the complete game’s content. The Open Beta is being held on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

World of For Honor

The world of For Honor is harsh, yet filled with beautiful wildlands, grandiose landmarks, and majestic ruins. Its hardy inhabitants eke a living as they can in spite of living in a state of near perpetual war. A cataclysm struck a millenium ago, nearly destroying all civilizations. Homelands were sundered, empires burned, and whole nations exiled themselves. From the ashes of this catastrophe, the Knights, Vikings, and Samurai rose again. They struggled to rebuild their nations, trying to recapture the glory of their ancestors.

For Honor Open Beta Starts February 9th, 2017

Carve a path of destruction through vivid, larger-than-life battlefields in For Honor, a ground-breaking action game developed by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with other Ubisoft studios.

For Honor will be released on February 14, 2017 on PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One, and PC.

Pierce the fog of war and join bold Knights, brutal Vikings, and deadly Samurais as they battle across lush, challenging battle maps. Master medieval weaponry and participate in brutal, fast-paced melee combat in an engaging story campaign and novel multiplayer modes.

The Art of Battle, For Honor’s innovative control system, puts you in total control of your Heroes. Each has distinct skills and uses unique melee weapons. It has been created through motion capture by real martial artists and professional stuntmen to bring the action to life like never before.

Factions

Knights

For Honor Open Beta Starts February 9th, 2017

The Knights of Ashfeld are brash paragons of might.

They were sent by the Iron Legions to pacify the land. They’ve since acquired a taste for freedom and have made Ashfeld their home. They believe that many – if not all – of the ancient ruins that cover their lands were built by the Great Empire, the precursor of the Iron Legion.

For Honor Open Beta Starts February 9th, 2017

Disorganized for centuries, Ashfeld’s Knights have mostly been a collection of petty warlords and roving bands of mercenary knights. In the last decade, they have been corralled under a single banner, often at sword point, by Ashfeld’s Blackstone Legion, led by Apollyon.

So far, the Knights have managed to defend Ashfeld from Vikings and Samurai attacks. Apollyon argues that a threat of war is imminent and tells stragglers that joining her Legion is the only guarantee they will hold onto their lands.

Samurai

For Honor Open Beta Starts February 9th, 2017

History has not been kind to the Samurai.

Originally from a land far away across the seas, they tell a tale of an Emperor and a homeland lost to sea and fire. Nearly a millennium later, the nomadic nation has ceased its wandering and built a new empire near the reclaimed homelands of the Vikings and the contested lands of the Knights.

For Honor Open Beta Starts February 9th, 2017

Having spent the last decades acclimating to the marshy hills known as the Myre, they flourish but remain vastly outnumbered by their neighbors. They have to rely on greater martial skill, cunning, and devotion to their culture in order to survive – for they may be the last of their kind.

Vikings

For Honor Open Beta Starts February 9th, 2017

The Vikings vanished centuries ago, fleeing their crumbling homelands for shores unknown.

Those left behind were conquered by the Knights and assimilated into their cultures.

For Honor Open Beta Starts February 9th, 2017

The Vikings returned in great numbers a few centuries ago. They came from far across the sea to where they have established a new homeland. They retuned for many reasons, but mostly to reclaim their ancient homeland in the North: Valkeinheim. Hundreds of Viking clans now coexist in relative peace in the frozen tundra. To the outside observer, however, they seem to exist in a state of perpetual civil war.

Vikings are the undisputed masters of the sea and fresh water. When this raucous nation gathers together in massive armadas of dragon-headed ships, they are fearsome to behold and nigh unstoppable.

For Honor features amazing battle maps and arenas created to deliver the best, most realistic melee combat experience possible.

Story Modes

Campaign

Playable as single-player and two-player co-op, the For Honor story mode is an immersive tale of larger-than-life warriors plunged into one of the bloodiest wars between Knights, Vikings, and Samurai in recent history.

Hundreds of years after a cataclysm reshaped the world, Knights, Vikings, and Samurai have adapted and thrive once more. Each now has the power to defy the other factions, tipping a fragile equilibrium into all-out war.

Embodying the greatest warriors of each faction, players experience some of the defining moments that led to the war. Dealing with manipulation, betrayal, and catastrophic reversal, they will need wits and skills to ensure victory.

Storming castles and fortresses, turning the tide of key battles, and defeating deadly bosses in intense duels, players will incarnate as battle-hardened heroes who will shape the course of a violent history.

Multiplayer

Dominion

In this 4v4 battle you must break the opposing team’s morale and then eliminate them. You do so by scoring points through killing enemies, capturing specific areas, and controlling them over time.

Once a team reaches 1000 points, the opposite teams breaks and can no longer spawn unless they kill opponents or recapture areas. A team wins by killing the last hero of a breaking team.

Duel

Battle it out against a single opponent in a best of five-round fight in an arena! Use your mastery of your hero’s moveset to slay your opponent. You must do so without feats or radar to pinpoint your opponent’s position.

Be on the lookout, and tap into your skills!

Brawl

This is a 2v2, best-of-five rounds battle to the death. Each hero spawns at a different point of the map. A team wins a battle when they’ve eliminated the last hero of the opposing team. There are no respawns.

Battle arenas are filled with traps and ledges, so exploit your environment to your advantage!

Overwatch Starts Year of the Rooster Limited-Time Event

Overwatch Starts Year of the Rooster Limited-Time Event

Overwatch’s Lunar New Year celebrations have begun and this seasonal event hopes to bring you happiness, prosperity, and (most importantly) lots of fun. For the next three weeks, players will have the chance to collect over 100 commemorative cosmetic items, enjoy a firefight beneath some fireworks on Lijiang Tower, and work together to capture the flag in Overwatch’s newest brawl mode.

Good Luck and Great Fortune Await

Starting today, our customary Loot Boxes have been replaced with our lucky Lunar Loot Boxes—and they’re packed with one heck of a (primal) punch, including new skins like Palanquin D.Va and Wukong Winston!

As with previous events, Lunar Loot Boxes can be earned or purchased, and each will contain at least one item from our Year of the Rooster collection—including player icons, sprays, victory poses, emotes, highlight intros, skins, and more. While the contents of each seasonal Loot Box are random, you can unlock a variety of these customization options in the Hero Gallery for credits throughout the event’s duration.

Once you’ve unlocked an item, it will be yours forever, which means you can celebrate the Year of the Rooster all year-round. The collection will return to the vault on February 13, however, so be sure to fire up your favorite gaming machine and see what good fortune might await before it’s too late!
Capture the Rooster

No event would be complete without a first-class brawl, and for the Year of the Rooster we took a cue from tradition and are introducing an Overwatch take on a true competitive gaming staple: Capture the Flag.

In Capture the Rooster, teams will face off on Lijiang Tower, attempting to secure the enemy flag while the opposing team does the same. In this fast-paced brawl, players will need to get creative with their team compositions as they attempt to construct a lineup that’s built for offensive speed and defensive stability.

Overwatch’s Year of the Rooster is live RIGHT NOW on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Happy Lunar New Year!

Ar:piel's Online Latest New Character: Hanna the Golden Eagle

Ar:piel’s Online Latest New Character: Hanna the Golden Eagle

Ar:piel Online, published by Ngine Studios and Nexon, has gotten another student to enroll: a golden eagle named Hanna! She uses dark magic and archery to combat her foes, making her an agile fighter. Similar to the L’vine and Dragon, Hanna is part of a Tactical Class. Below is the trailer that shows her combat abilities and some information about her.

More information about her is in the story cinematic, which shows the danger of gifted education in a way and how ultimately Hanna was able to use dark magic – along with how she got the black streak in her hair.

Her theme song is sung by A-Young Yoon, and begins playing at 2:18 without any interruption or other voices. The video of it contains a small montage of them recording the song, explaining how it correlates with the new character, and then a small Q+A with the singer.

Ar:piel has a lot of unique characters and classes that mix animals or traits of animals with each individual, and some of the animals they choose are actually pretty interesting (like a leopard cat and pangolin). Having a Golden Eagle sounded odd to me at first, but then I realized that this eagle in particular is one of the best-known birds of prey. With Hanna’s attacks being quick, precise, and evasive, it seems fitting with the animal of choosing.

Currently, she is the third to come out for the new class, and there are three more to come. Honestly I wouldn’t know what they would do as a character next because the animal choosings can sometimes be unpredictable, like Hanna. So, what do you think of the new character, and what do you think they might be doing next?

Currently, Ar:piel is available and free-to-play in South Korea’s Nexon.

Super Mario Run: The Kotaku Review

Super Mario Run: The Kotaku Review

If you were worried that Nintendo’s move into mobile gaming would change the quality of their games, Super Mario Run should be a relief. Auto-running and screen orientation aside, it’s a full-featured Mario game that just happens to run on your phone.

Note: A version of this article ran on 12/15/2016. I’ve spent several days playing since launch, and since my original impressions still stand, I’ve expanded this article into a review, adding discussion of the game’s merits and potential pitfalls observed over several days of post-launch play.

When Nintendo announced Super Mario Run, I expected an endless runner, a game where Mario runs from left to right through randomly-generated courses until he dies. That’s not what Super Mario Run is.

Error loading media: File could not be played

Super Mario Run is technically three connected games: World Tour, Toad Rally and Kingdom Builder.

World Tour is most like the Super Mario Bros. platforming games we’re familiar with. There are six different worlds, each consisting of three levels plus a boss level. Mario runs automatically from left to right. All the player has to do is jump.

Super Mario Run: The Kotaku Review

Were these standard mobile runner fair, the 90 second levels would be boring. But these are meticulously-crafted Mario worlds, filled with coins to collect, creatures vault over or jump off and obstacles to avoid. There are blocks that make Mario jump backwards, speed him across large gaps and even stop him in his tracks, allowing players to determine the best time to move forward.

Somehow Nintendo has managed to give this auto-running mobile game the same basic feel as a standard Super Mario Bros. game, that tactile precision that you just don’t find in other titles. Kotaku contributor/game developer Tim Rogers calls it “Sticky Friction.” I’m feeling it.

Completing World Tour stages awards coins, used to purchase decorations and buildings in the Kingdom Builder portion, as well as Toad tickets, used to challenge other players in Toad Rally.

Super Mario Run: The Kotaku Review

Toad Rally allows players to challenge friends and strangers to one-on-one races, the goal of which is to collect the most coins and earn the most color-coded Toad fans. The gameplay is basically the same, with a slightly different aim. In a clever twist, defeating enemies in either World Tour or Toad Rally eventually causes them to level up, which makes them drop more coins when defeated in the rally mode.

Those collected color-coded Toad fans and coins all come into play in Super Mario Run’s Kingdom Builder. Players use coins to buy decorations, buildings and accessories that can be placed in their own personal Mushroom Kingdom, while collecting colored Toad fans upgrades the kingdom’s castle and unlocks new items, including buildings that add new playable characters to the game.

Super Mario Run: The Kotaku Review

The three different modes come together to form a game that’s a far cry from the standard mobile fare I feared it would be. This is a Nintendo game through and through, and no matter how they might be handling other franchises, Mario always gets the star treatment. Check it out:

Super Mario Run is available now on iOS, with an Android version arriving later. A free download gives players access to the first three World Tour levels and a taste of expanded content, with a one-time $9.99 purchase required to unlock everything.

Six days after the launch of Super Mario Run I’m still having fun, albeit in small doses. The initial run through the paid version’s 24 World Tour stages was a fun couple of hours, and revisiting those 90-second levels in order to gather up all the special coins is a fine way to spend a bathroom break.

But the game’s two other modes, Toad Rally and the Kingdom Builder, are wearing thin. The idea is that players compete against their friends in Toad Rally in order to gather resources (color-coded Toad fans) to unlock new decorations for their kingdoms.

Aside from unlocking additional characters, there really isn’t much satisfaction to be had in kingdom decorating. Once the banality of placing Mario-themed items on my screen kicked in, Toad Rally, a mode with the primary function of unlocking new items to place, lost much of its charm as well. While some may enjoy the challenge of clambering up their friends leaderboard, I’m feeling very “What’s the point?”.

Since launch day I’ve spent as much time reading about how disappointing Super Mario Run is as I have playing it, and I’ve played quite a bit. Complaints about requiring an internet connection, large data downloads and the $9.99 in-app purchase required to unlock the full game are perfectly valid.

This is Nintendo’s first major in-house mobile game, and while the gameplay is quite enjoyable, the company could have done a better job navigating the gap between the two platforms. Mobile gamers have had years to get used to games requiring an internet connection, but it’s a major disappointment in the traditionally offline Mushroom Kingdom. If Nintendo released a playable demo of Super Mario Run on the eShop and sold a separate full version for $10, console gamers wouldn’t bat an eye, but on mobile it’s a substantial leap of faith.

With Miitomo being a social app and Pokémon GO a licensed Niantic creation, Super Mario Run is Nintendo’s first real foray into mobile gaming. They’ve fumbled the execution somewhat, but these first stumbling steps bring with them a game that’s worth playing.

Could we finally get a real Hearthstone competitor from Magic: The Gathering?

Could we finally get a real Hearthstone competitor from Magic: The Gathering?

Blizzard Entertainment’s digital card game Hearthstone has been an absurdly popular hit — to the tune of over 50 million players as of last April. While this player-friendly title has served as a perfect introduction to card games for many players (including myself), others who have been playing collectible card games for years have wondered: Why didn’t Magic: The Gathering ever get a truly great digital experience?

If publisher Wizards of the Coast is to be believed, that could finally change in the near future. Wizards of the Coast president Chris Cocks published a statement today, claiming that the company will be making “increased investments in our digital teams that will give us the capability and flexibility necessary to fully realize the enormous potential of our games.”

Going into further details, Cocks said Wizards of the Coast will be “reimagining digital versions of Magic and other Wizards games.” The company recently formed a new team known as Digital Game Studios that includes video game industry veterans from Valve, Warner Bros. Interactive, Activision, BioWare and more.

“They’re all thinking about how players might tap mana and prepare spells in the future,” Cocks said, adding, “and I can’t wait for you to see what they’re working on.”

Beyond digital versions of their existing games, Cocks said Wizards is working on taking the characters and worlds the company owns to other games and genres. He provided two examples: a Magic: The Gathering-themed massively multiplayer game, and a Dungeons & Dragons-themed augmented reality game.

“We want to play games like this too, so we hired David Schwartz, an industry veteran with 25 years of experience,” Cocks said. “He is building a publishing team to explore partnerships and collaborations that will bring Magic and D&D to unexpected settings, genres and platforms.”

Beyond new games and digital experiences, Cocks promised that the existing Wizards of the Coasts products will become “more efficient, connected and convenient.” It’s unclear what that means specifically, but he noted that the company has a revamped technology team working on “in-store and online interactions so you will have cohesive and connected experiences with our games.”

Chris Cocks is a relatively new name at Wizards of the Coast. He joined the company in April 2016, replacing previous president Greg Leeds who had been with Wizards of the Coast for eight years. Cocks was previously at Microsoft; both Wizards of the Coast and its parent company, Hasbro, have been increasingly boisterous about shifting properties to digital since Cocks joined.

Previous attempts by Wizards of the Coast to take Magic: The Gathering into a digital format include Magic Online — a “full” version of the game weighed down by a notoriously clunky client and difficult-to-parse user interface — and the Duels of the Planeswalkers series of spin-offs, which are more user-friendly and nicer to look at but generally considered a little shallow compared to what longtime Magic players are looking for.

While it’s still unclear what forms Wizards of the Coast’s new big push into digital will take, or when we’ll find out more details, we’ll continue reporting as soon as we know more.

Dragon Nest Mobile: Informative Guide & Tips on Leveling and Skill Points

Dragon Nest Mobile: Informative Guide & Tips on Leveling and Skill Points

Hey Guys, hope you all are having a great new beginning to 2017! So here’s a guide for Dragon Nest Mobile on how to efficiently use each the characters, quickly gather skill points and level up. As I had mentioned in my article before, Dragon Nest Mobile is quite an interesting game which can be played for hours together. For those of you who wish to know more about the game, click here for a comprehensive review about the game.

Dragon Nest Mobile has been designed in such a way that the method of collecting skill points is different for each character, this means that the time taken to level up and learn new skills will vary a little from character to character. The mobile version of Dragon Nest features the same characters that was present in the Pc version, the standard characters that are available as of now are: warrior, archer, sorceress, cleric.

Dragon Nest Mobile: Informative Guide & Tips on Leveling and Skill Points

Before dwelling deep into how we can use each character to gather skill points quickly and level up let me let you guys know the various methods in which skill points can be collected. There are several ways in which this can be done;

a) COMBAT
b) UPGRADATION
c) COMBINATON MOVES
d) COMPLETING QUESTS

Let us now take a quick look on how we can gather skill points from the above mentioned methods

1) COMBAT.

This is one of the quickest and easiest ways to upgrade your level by gathering points. This is where each character plays a role and carefully using the perfect character tailored for your ease assumes importance.

SHORT RANGE COMBAT (Cleric and the Warrior)

Both these characters are extremely powerful and deliver powerful blows to the enemy. The cleric is apt for beginners considering that the character provides the standard attacking features. The warrior on the other hand can also be used by beginners but creating efficient combo skills and moves might prove to be a bit of the challenge, but if this can be done then the warrior and the cleric can help players who enjoy close combat and plain on the offensive front. This in fact will help players gather a lot of skill points during the game.

Dragon Nest Mobile: Informative Guide & Tips on Leveling and Skill Points

The reason why these close combat characters help in collecting so many skill points is because of the fact that they can quickly attack several monsters at the same time. Consider the cleric, one of the special moves easily available is to take a 360 degree sweep ensuring that every monster present around is hit at the same time. While striking a single monster fetches enough skill points, being able to attack several of them at the same time will help in collecting combo points which will double or maybe even triple the chances of collecting these points.

Dragon Nest Mobile: Informative Guide & Tips on Leveling and Skill Points

If you are comfortable using these close combat characters then it will attribute to helping you collect more than 50 % of the required points in order to level up at any given point. One of the disadvantages of the close combat method is that it puts the player right between the crossfires of the enemy’s. This means that while attacking several monsters at the same time it will be harder to slip out and escape the attacking blows. One way around this is to use the quick slide move which is provided for every character, this will ensure that the player can swiftly move out of the attacker’s path. The key for this move is present adjacent to the attacking key on the right hand corner of the screen.

LONG DISTANCE COMBAT (Archer and Sorceress)

The main advantage of using these two characters is that one can attack from a safe distance without receiving any damage while at the same time ensuring that skill points can be collected.

It will come of great help if the Archer and wizard are improvised quickly with various combination moves because this will ensure faster attacking, helping the player collect points quickly. For those of you who have just started with the game it is not suggested that they start playing with the sorceress or wizard because compared to the close combat characters they do not collect skill points as quickly. This is primarily because when attacking from a longer distance several enemies cannot be targeted at the same time which means the players will not have a lot of opportunities to collect points from combination attacks.

However, there is a way to circumvent this. The archer and sorceress are excellent choices for multiplayer gaming. The wizard especially will play a pivotal role in this aspect. Considering the fact that her skill moves take a longer time to build up she can be used to provide effective assistance to the short range attacking players while engaging in multiplayer mode. This will help in creating combos which will in turn help you collect skill points.

One of the added benefits of using either the archer or the sorceress is that they will not be in close proximity to the enemy’s attacks. This can be used to the player’s advantage as they can engage in the offensive while not having to dodge any attacks constantly as they can quickly anticipate an attack and move away from that path.
